I'm here to help you embrace transformation through poetry, storytelling, and spoken word. By blending performance with real, personal stories, I create spaces where you can express yourself and feel more confident. I founded Gypsy Lounge BCN, an open mic that's still thriving in Barcelona, and I'm always looking to build more spaces like it. Through my writing and performances, I'm here to help you share your voice and own your story.
Yzaura Vanegas is a spoken-word artist, storyteller, and creator of Echoes of Self, a solo spoken-word theatre production that made its Edinburgh Festival Fringe debut in 2026. A five-time Barcelona PoEntry Slam winner and co-creator of the sold-out duet show Hypnotik Transphormation, she combines poetry and storytelling with live looping, vocal effects and immersive soundscapes. Her work explores ancestry, memory, identity and transformation, creating intimate theatrical experiences that invite audiences to reflect on the many selves that shape who we become.

This is a performance piece that includes three poems. Forget The Past, Words, and Embrace. This was performed in Athens, Greece, for their slam finals. These poems highlight our evolution in humanity. My dear friend Makis Moulos recorded all the pieces.
This poem was my way of dealing with words and phrases that sent me spiraling late at night.
This poem speaks of all the personalities we live in our lifetime and how we all grow old in the end.
